The Beech Tree is situated just as you come into Coniston on the road from Ambleside. It is at the end of the main village street. A large drive-in area is situated on the left-hand side of this street.  There is a sign saying The Beech Tree posted on the massive beech tree that lies at the entrance of the house.

The house is opposite the Oakfield guesthouse, the bowling green, tennis court and Cricket ground. Dino’s Cafe is just a little bit further along the road, on the left as you come into the village.
